On-loan Manchester City youngster Alex Henshall will be offered a permanent deal at Ipswich Town, Blues boss Mick McCarthy has revealed.
The 20-year-old winger joined the Tractor Boys in March and although he hasn't made a first-team appearance, McCarthy has been impressed enough to offer him a contract.
"I've spoken to him and I've spoken to his agent and I would like to offer him something," McCarthy told BBC Radio Suffolk.
"He's learning still, but he's certainly got something to offer and I've left it with them now."
Henshall has been with City since the age of 16 and had brief loan spells with Chesterfield and Bristol Rovers in the last two seasons.
