John Guidetti will not be joining Celtic on loan this season after details of his transfer failed to be processed in time, according to a report.

Manchester City striker John Guidetti's proposed loan move to Celtic has reportedly fallen through.

The Hoops were believed to be in talks for the 22-year-old, who has made just one senior appearance for the Premier League champions.

According to BBC Sport, Celtic have been unable to complete a deal after the final details of the transfer failed to be processed before the Scottish Football Association's midnight deadline.

Guidetti had a spell on loan at Stoke City last season, but failed to score for the Potters in his six appearances.
