Manchester City could reportedly make a move for Bayern Munich defender Joshua Kimmich in the next transfer window.
Kimmich featured under Pep Guardiola during the coach's time at the Bavarian club, where the versatile youngster was converted from a midfielder to a centre-back under the Spaniard's tutelage.
Having joined from RB Leipzig in 2015, the 22-year-old has since developed into an industrious defender capable of playing at both full and centre-back, leading to speculation suggesting that Guardiola is keen on a reunion with the Germany international.
According to SportBild, City may aim to push through a £44m deal for the youngster, although the same report also suggests that Bayern are unwilling to sell and would command a fee much higher than the one potentially being touted by City.
Kimmich is also thought to have attracted the interests of La Liga giants Barcelona.
