Manchester City want to tie Ferran Torres down to a new £100k-per-week contract until the summer of 2027, according to a report.

Manchester City are reportedly preparing to hand attacker Ferran Torres a bumper new deal at the Etihad Stadium.

The Spain international is facing at least another couple of months out with a foot fracture, but he established himself as a key player under Pep Guardiola in the early stages of the campaign.

Torres struck two goals and set up one more in four Premier League matches before his injury, and City are supposedly set to reward his performances with a bumper pay rise.

According to the Daily Star, Torres is only earning £40k per week at the Etihad since joining from Valencia last year, but he can expect his wage to be bumped up to £100k per week with fresh terms.

The 21-year-old's existing deal does not expire until the summer of 2025, but the report adds that City are keen to tie him down for an additional two years until 2027.

Torres has chalked up 16 goals and four assists in 43 games for the Premier League champions and struck both of Spain's goals in their Nations League semi-final win over Italy earlier this month before coming off injured.
