Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko completes Roma loan switch

Manchester City have confirmed that striker Edin Dzeko has joined Roma on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal.

The 29-year-old recently underwent a medical in the Italian capital.

Dzeko, who moved to City from Wolfsburg in 2011 for £27m, scored six goals in 33 games last season.

"Everybody at the club wishes Edin the very best for the future and thank him for his excellent service with Manchester City," read an official statement.

Dzeko has found the net 42 times in 72 appearances for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
