Manchester City have accepted a £40m offer from Corinthians for striker Carlos Tevez.
City rejected a £35m bid from the Brazilian club last week but City manager Roberto Mancini confirmed this morning that an agreement had been reached.
"We have an agreement with Corinthians but Carlos now is still a City player," Mancini told Sky Sports News.
The Sao Paulo club moved for the 27-year-old Argentine after he indicated that he wished to return to South America to spend more time with his family.
Tevez's compatriot Sergio Aguero is seen as a natural replacement and City are expected to make a move for the Atletico Madrid forward after he said he wanted to play in England.
