Bayern Munich are allegedly set to table an improved bid for Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.
City manager Pep Guardiola recently revealed that the Germany international has turned down offers of a new contract with the current Premier League champions, with his current deal at the Etihad set to expire next summer.
Bayern have long been credited with an interest in the former Schalke man, although it remains to be seen how the Bavarian giants will be impacted in the transfer market by the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
Nevertheless, reports in Germany suggest that the Bundesliga champions have submitted a £36m bid for Sane after initially refusing to offer more than £30m.
However, the Evening Standard claims that City are not prepared to accept a cut-price figure for the winger despite his contractual situation, and the Citizens are prepared to make Sane see out the final year of his deal if a suitable offer does not come in for him this summer.
Sane has registered 39 goals in 134 appearances across all competitions for Guardiola's side, but the 24-year-old has not turned out in the Premier League this season amid ongoing injury woes.
