Barcelona 'keeping a close eye on Raheem Sterling situation'

Barcelona continue to monitor Raheem Sterling's situation at Manchester City, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly closely monitoring Raheem Sterling's situation at Manchester City, with the Catalan giants weighing up a January move for the England international.

Xavi will soon be announced as the La Liga club's new head coach, and the Spaniard is believed to be determined to bring a new attacker to Camp Nou at the start of 2022.

A number of players, including Sterling, have been linked with moves to the club, and according to Sport, the Englishman is being considered by Barcelona as a potential incoming.

The report claims that the 26-time Spanish champions are 'keeping a close eye' on the 26-year-old, who is believed to be unsettled at the Etihad Stadium.

Sterling was linked with a move away from Man City over the summer, and he has found it difficult to show his best form for the club this term, scoring just twice in 15 appearances in all competitions.

The former Queens Park Rangers youngster, who has just over 18 months left to run on his contract with the Citizens, recently said that he would be open to a move abroad.
