The agent of Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero insists that his client will stay at the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The agent of Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has insisted that his client will stay at the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Aguero scored 30 times in all competitions for City last season, but the 29-year-old's future at the club was thrown into question following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January, with the Brazilian displacing the experienced forward in the team.

It had been claimed that Aguero would leave Manchester ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, but his agent Hernan Reguera has insisted that the Argentine international, who has been strongly linked with Inter Milan, "is happy and will remain".

"They [City fans] should not have any doubt or fear," Reguera told Tuttomercatoweb. "Sergio remains at Manchester City. It is safe. There has never been an offer [from Inter Milan]. They never presented the opportunity to get away from City. As I said, he is happy and will remain."

Aguero has scored 169 goals in 253 appearances for Man City following a 2011 move from Atletico Madrid.
