Jack Rodwell is confident that if he can stay fit he can become a first-team regular at Manchester City.
Rodwell joined City from Everton last summer for £12m but has managed to start just two games so far this season due to a series of injury problems.
The 21-year-old told The Mirror: "My main aim now is to stay fit. That's been my main problem for the last year or so, an inability to stay fit and shrug off little injuries.
"That's held me back, and I think if I can stay fit, the games will come."
The midfielder managed to play 30 minutes in City's 4-0 FA Cup win over Leeds United on Sunday as he steps up his recovery.
