Phil Neville: 'Everton resilient against Manchester City'

Former Everton captain Phil Neville praises the Toffees' performance in drawing 1-1 with Man City.

Phil Neville has praised former club Everton following their 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the Premier League.

The TV pundit felt that the Blues showed resilience against the champions, singling out defender John Stones and striker Romelu Lukaku for plaudits.

"There are some real positives for Roberto Martinez and Everton today for sure. They showed some great resilience," he told BBC Sport.

"John Stones was superb at the back and Romelu Lukaku looks like a player about to come into form in front of goal."

The draw leaves Everton in 12th place in the table following a poor run of form, while City remain in second.
