Roberto Mancini: 'I trust Joe Hart'

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini insists that he has '100% trust' in goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that he has complete faith in the ability of goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Hart has come in for criticism after making several costly errors for the Premier League champions, but Mancini has defended the England international for his recent mistakes.

The 48-year-old told reporters: "I love Joe. Two years ago, when no-one wanted him in goal instead of Shay [Given], I put him in because I trusted him and was sure he was a good goalkeeper.

"Sometimes it's difficult for a goalkeeper, he can do a mistake and if they do they can let in a goal but we trust Joe 100%."

Hart is expected to keep his place in the Manchester City starting lineup when they host Chelsea on Sunday.
