Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has launched a blistering attack on the role that agents play in the careers of some players.
The Italian, who saw his side lose 1-0 to Everton on Tuesday, said that he cannot understand why players have certain agents working for them.
"Sometimes it is difficult to understand why some players have certain agents," said Mancini.
"First the agent should find the player work, after that they should help the players in difficult situations; help them, not put them against the club or the manager or the other players
"Agents are important for doing this, not only for earning lots of money"
The former Inter Milan coach has had to deal with the on-off Carlos Tevez transfer, with the Argentine's agent Kia Joorabchian being very vocal throughout the transfer window.
Manchester City are currently top of the Premier League on goal difference.
