Manchester City are reportedly confident that Sergio Aguero will stay at City despite their two-year ban from European football.

Manchester City are reportedly confident that striker Sergio Aguero will remain at the club next season.

Following City's two-year ban from European football for breaching financial fair play rules, the futures of several of their top players have been brought into question.

Aguero is one of Pep Guardiola's men who has been heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad, with the club reportedly willing to part ways with their all-time leading scorer should the Argentina international express a desire to leave.

However, according to the Evening Standard, the 31-year-old has not given any indication that he favours a move away from the Premier League, leading to the City hierarchy to believe that he is totally content at the current league champions.

Aguero has scored 254 goals in 368 games for Guardiola's side since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2012 and has won four league titles and two FA Cups in that time.

The 31-year-old's current deal with the Citizens will expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign
