Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has insisted that he is not upset by his failure to make Stuart Pearce's England squad.
The 29-year-old had made named in the last few squads that Fabio Capello selected prior to his resignation.
However, Lescott will not feature during next week's friendly encounter against Holland as Pearce looks to hand some youngsters the chance to represent their country.
"I haven't made this squad because he's going with a few younger heads and that's a chance for them to stake a claim for the summer," he told The People.
"Of course, I'd like to have been in the squad, I want to be in every squad, but I respect the decision by Stuart Pearce so I'll just get on with it and be fully focused for City.
"With the managerial situation with England everything is a bit in the air for everyone as far as the Euros are concerned."
Lescott has made 14 appearances for the Three Lions.
