Fernandinho: 'I will be fit within two weeks'

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho reveals that he could return to the first-team squad in "15 days or less".

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has insisted that the muscle injury he suffered at the weekend is not as bad as first feared.

Fernandinho was forced to miss his side's match with Chelsea on Monday evening after breaking down in training on Sunday, and manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed after the match that he expected the player to be absent for up to four weeks.

However, the Brazilian midfielder has tweeted that he hopes to be back sooner than his boss has predicted.

Manchester City face another match with Chelsea when the two sides meet in the FA Cup in nine days' time, before City host Barcelona in the Champions League three days later.ID:135615: cacheID:135615:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:1614:
