Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that Edin Dzeko will be his side's "main striker" for the upcoming 2013-14 campaign.
The Bosnian was tipped to leave the club under former manager Roberto Mancini, but since Pellegrini's arrival this summer, there has been renewed hope for Dzeko.
"We could've signed other players but I consider [Dzeko] the main striker of the team and I'm sure his performance along the season will be really good," Pellegrini said at a press conference in Munich.
City also have attacking options in Stevan Jovetic, Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero.
