Djibril Cisse wants revenge for Mark Hughes

Djibril Cisse wants Queens Park Rangers to end Manchester City's title dreams and gain "sweet revenge" for Mark Hughes, who was sacked in favour of Roberto Mancini in December 2009.

Djibril Cisse is hoping to deny Manchester City three points on Sunday to give manager Mark Hughes "sweet revenge" over the club that sacked him in December 2009.

Both sides go into the game needing a result to secure their season's goals.

The Citizens will become English champions for the first time since 1968 with a win, while a draw will see the Hoops retain their Premier League status.

Although he admits that Hughes is unlikely to be concerned about anything other than Rangers' survival, Cisse is keen to punish City for the way they treated the Welshman.

"Victory would be sweet revenge for him but I don't know if he is thinking about this," said the 30-year-old Frenchman.

"His main concern is to keep QPR up so, first, he will be thinking about getting a result. But it will be sweet for him, too, if he can keep us up and deny City the title."

Cisse, who moved to Loftus Road in January for £4m, has scored five goals and been sent off twice in seven appearances.
