Steve Bruce praises Hull City's bravery

Hull City boss Steve Bruce praises his side's bravery after their 4-2 reverse to Manchester City.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has praised the bravery of his side as they lost 4-2 to Manchester City at the KC Stadium.

The Tigers fought back from two goals down before Edin Dzeko and Frank Lampard struck to give the champions the points away from home, but Bruce was quick to highlight the positive aspects of his players' display.

Bruce told reporters after the game: "We were brave or stupid to play two up top. I thought 'we're at home let's give it a go'. They nearly blew us away in the first 10 minutes. Maybe we showed them too much respect.

"We've conceded four and not done that badly. Sometimes you have to hold your hand up and say you have been beaten by the better team.

"We were brave and it nearly came off."

The defeat leaves the Tigers 14th in the Premier League.
