Barcelona have been linked with a future move for Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini.
The Spanish giants are aiming to lure City chiefs Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano back to Camp Nou in a double swoop that could eventually pave the way for the Chilean to join them, The Mirror claims.
Barca are currently seeking a replacement for sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta and his assistant Carles Puyol, and are said to have earmarked the City duo for the positions.
Begiristain served as the La Liga outfit's sporting director between 2003 and 2010, while Soriano completed a successful stint as vice-president between 2003 and 2008.
The rumours could add extra fire to the Champions League last-16 clash between City and Barca, the first leg of which takes place in Manchester on February 24.
