Mario Balotelli believes that Manchester City's supporters will still adore him despite his role in England's Euro 2012 exit.

Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli is confident that the club's supporters will still adore him despite his role in England's Euro 2012 exit.

The 21-year-old converted from 12 yards as the Three Lions crashed out to Italy in a quarter-final penalty shootout last Sunday.

When asked if he would seek a transfer this summer, Balotelli responded: "Come back now? I go back to Manchester.

"The City fans always want me, even though they are British and I have helped eliminate their national team."

Balotelli has scored three goals at the championships so far and is currently the joint top scorer, along with Alan Dzagoev, Mario Mandzukic, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Gomez.
