Alexandre Lacazette has responded to uncertainty surrounding his future by claiming that he would be open to signing a new contract with Lyon.
The 23-year-old, who has been repeatedly linked with Liverpool and was a target for Newcastle United last summer, has scored 25 goals in 28 Ligue 1 games this season and he is keen to stay at the Stade de Gerland ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.
"It is too early to speak about opportunities of leaving abroad. In any case, it will be a footballing decision," Lacazette told Le Progres. "To go to Qatar next season, that doesn't interest me. I would like to sign a contract extension.
"I am good at Lyon, and if I feel that the project will continue advance, I can see myself staying. Even if we don't win the Champions League."
Lacazette arrived at the club as a 12-year-old in 2003.
