Mohamed Yattara, Alexandre Lacazette score as Lyon beat Bastia

Lyon beat Bastia 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Mohamed Yattara and Alexandre Lacazette.

Lyon have returned to the top of Ligue 1 with a 2-0 home win over Bastia.

The hosts were frustrated in the first half as they failed to break down a stubborn Bastia defence with their best chance falling to Nabil Fekir, whose free kick was tipped over the bar.

In the second period, the home side upped the pressure and started to create chances as Alexandre Lacazette fired wide from inside the area and Clement Grenier forced Alphonse Areola into an acrobatic save.

Their pressure paid off when they scored in the 77th minute as Mohamed Yattara headed the ball firmly into the bottom corner from close range.

They wrapped up the points eight minutes later as Lacazette coolly slotted the ball under the goalkeeper after he was found in the box by Clinton N'Jie.
