Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has revealed that his target for the season is to impress for his club so that he can go to the World Cup with England in Brazil this summer.
Henderson, who made his eighth appearance for the Three Lions in the 1-0 win over Denmark on Wednesday, said that he was pleased to get back into the team and wants a bigger role in the World Cup than he did in Euro 2012.
"It's been a while, so it was nice to get a start under my belt," Henderson told TheFA.com. "It was brilliant to get back out there again for the senior team.
"I tried to do my best and hopefully I can do my best from now until the end of the season and get in the squad for the summer."
Henderson was pleased with England's performance in the win over Denmark.
