Liverpool have reportedly seen contract talks with Georginio Wijnaldum 'reach a stalemate'.
The 30-year-old has been integral to the team's success in recent seasons, while he has again been a key player this term, making 24 appearances in all competitions.
Wijnaldum's current deal at Anfield is due to expire at the end of June, though, meaning that he is currently free to enter into talks with foreign clubs over a pre-contract.
According to Sky Sports News, Liverpool have placed an offer on the table, but the Netherlands international is not prepared to accept the current terms as he wants a package in line with the top earners at the club.
Wijnaldum has made 210 appearances for the reigning English champions since arriving from Newcastle United in 2016, contributing 20 goals and 16 assists.
Barcelona continue to be credited with an interest in the Dutchman.
