Raheem Sterling has dropped his biggest hint yet that he will resist overtures from Real Madrid and sign a new deal at Liverpool.
The teenager has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, but the England international has suggested that he would like to stay at Anfield "for many years to come".
He is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "The club has spoken to my representatives and hopefully something can be done really soon.
"Hopefully I can achieve the goals I want to achieve here at Liverpool in years to come."
Sterling was brought to Liverpool by former manager Rafael Benitez in 2010.
