Brendan Rodgers: Luis Suarez issue has been "resolved"

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers claims that the uncertainty surrounding Luis Saurez's future with the club has now been "resolved".

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that the uncertainty surrounding Luis Suarez has been "resolved".

The Uruguayan's future has been the subject of intense speculation for the majority of the summer after he publicly declared his wish to move from Anfield on a number of occasions.

Arsenal have had two bids rejected for the Reds forward, but Rodgers has now said that the Suarez has been welcomed back into the first team following an apology to his teammates.

"The only thing I will say about Luis is that I am very satisfied how everything has been resolved and now we can move on," Rodgers told reporters.

"He is a part of this team and this club. The supporters are a class act here and it is the classic Liverpool way to support the players and the manager."

Suarez will be unavailable for the next five games as he serves the remainder of his 10-game suspension for biting Branislav Ivanovic back in April.
