Highly-rated Ajax defender Perr Schuurs has insisted that he is not considering a move away from the Eredivisie amid links with Liverpool.
With Liverpool hit with an injury crisis in defence, Schuurs - who is considered a top prospect for the future - has been touted as an immediate solution to Jurgen Klopp's defensive problems.
The 21-year-old has already turned out for Ajax against the Reds in the Champions League this year, but Schuurs has now affirmed that he is happy in the Netherlands and will not be looking to head to Anfield in the near future.
In quotes attributed to the Liverpool Echo, Schuurs said: "I am now a starting player which was my goal beforehand. I am very happy about that. I feel at home here.
"I'm not really in favour of going abroad early. I feel at home here so I want to play here for a few more seasons. It is not always fun to read [criticism]. You know when you play at Ajax that you are under a magnifying glass. But if you come out well, you will only be appreciated more."
Schuurs has already made 20 appearances for Ajax this season after becoming a first-team regular, but the Dutch centre-back is about to enter the final 18 months of his deal with the Eredivisie giants.
