West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew has hinted that he will make a move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings when the transfer window reopens next month.
The 25-year-old has been frustrated by a succession of injury problems since joining the Reds from Burnley in 2015 and is expected to be made available to purchase in January.
A number of top-flight teams are understood to have made enquiries with regards to Ings's availability, with West Brom among those to have been linked.
Asked about his interest in the one-cap England international, Pardew told reporters: "I'd be foolish to say I don't like Danny Ings because I quite like him. It's a shame about his injury - he's had to battle back and everyone wishes him well.
"I have seen Nicky Hammond to pencil in a meeting to talk about that this week, so maybe on Friday I can give you a bit more of where we're looking and what we're looking at."
Ings was brought off the bench for the final eight minutes of Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Everton at the weekend - just his second appearance in all competitions this term.
