Liverpool could offer Raheem Sterling a new deal after interest from Tottenham Hotspur, it has been reported.
The Merseyside club could offer the 17-year-old an improved long-term deal to keep him at Anfield.
Tottenham have been linked with a £7m move for the highly-rated youngster, who made his European debut for the club in their 1-0 win in the Europa League third qualifying round first-leg tie against FC Gomel.
Sterling is apparently in line for a bigger role in Brendan Rodgers's first-team plans in the coming season, after making three substitute appearances under Kenny Dalglish last year.
Tottenham's reported interest has increased the chances of the winger being handed a pay rise, despite only signing his first professional contract with the club in December 2011.
Sterling joined Liverpool in 2010, after spending seven years in Queens Park Rangers' youth setup.
