AC Milan are reportedly eager to secure a deal for Liverpool forward and future free agent Divock Origi as early as this week.

AC Milan are reportedly keen to finalise a pre-contract agreement with Liverpool forward Divock Origi as soon as possible.

Having never established himself as a first-team player under Jurgen Klopp, Origi is allegedly ready to leave Anfield when his deal expires in the summer.

Over the past few days, it has been claimed that Milan have made their move for the Belgium international as they bid to strengthen in the final third ahead of next season.

With Origi open to a switch to San Siro, Sky Italia says that club officials want to get the transfer over the line by the end of the week.

The report claims that there is a desire to bring in a younger alternative to the likes of Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who are currently 35 and 40 years of age respectively.

Origi has been limited to just five starts and nine substitute appearances in all competitions this campaign, the last of his five goals coming against Milan in the Champions League in December.
