Manchester City are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs who are ready to make an approach for a La Liga winger.
The defending champions are currently rivalling Liverpool at the top of the Premier League standings, helped by a controversial 2-1 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.
Pep Guardiola is hoping to guide City to their fifth successive title at a time when there are funds to spend in the club's coffers over the upcoming transfer windows.
Resolving their issues in central midfield is known to be a priority for January given the long-term injury suffered by Rodri.
Nevertheless, that is seemingly not preventing City officials from giving consideration to trying to add to their ranks in wide areas.

Moro on radar of Premier League clubs
According to Fichajes, Real Valladolid winger Raul Moro has emerged as a potential addition for City and two other Premier League teams.
The report suggests that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also taken note of the development of the 21-year-old.
Moro has already spent time in Italy with Lazio, making a total of 20 appearances, but it is with Valladolid where he has started to make a sustained impact.
Having helped Valladolid win promotion back to La Liga in 2023-24, the Spain Under-21 international has since accumulated 672 minutes of top-flight action across 10 outings.
Two goals and one assist have come during that period, including a winning strike at Espanyol on the opening weekend of the campaign.
With a contract until 2028, Moro is tied to Valladolid in the long term, but Valladolid are likely to be open to cashing in on one of their most prized assets next summer if he continues on his current trajectory.

What is a potential valuation?
As it stands, Valladolid may look to generate in the region of €10m (£8.3m) for Moro, although that could rise over the course of the season.
Clubs of the size of the aforementioned trio would then need to decide whether to send Moro out on loan given his minimal experience of top-flight football, with less than a 1,000 minutes currently racked up.
