Liverpool willing to meet Jean-Michael Seri asking price?

Liverpool are reportedly willing to meet Nice's asking price for midfielder Jean-Michael Seri.

Liverpool have reportedly indicated that they are willing to meet Nice's asking price for midfielder Jean-Michael Seri.

Since helping the French side to third place in Ligue 1 last season, Seri has found himself linked with a number of European football's biggest clubs, including Liverpool.

The Merseyside giants have previously been regarded as the favourites to sign the 26-year-old and according to Buzzsport.fr, manager Jurgen Klopp has given the green light to pay what is necessary for the Ivorian.

The report claims that Nice are looking for a fee in the region of £30m, with that figure seemingly a compromise due to the player having less than 18 months remaining on his contract.

Seri has contributed one goal and three assists in 21 league appearances during the current campaign.
