Liverpool reportedly learn that it will take a bid of £67m to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Liverpool will reportedly have to pay £67m if they wish to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Despite the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum during the summer transfer window, Jurgen Klopp failed to bring in a like-for-like replacement.

However, with James Milner turning 36 years of age in January, the Merseyside giants will naturally have to consider introducing a fresh face to the squad.

According to Calciomercato, a move for Milinkovic-Savic appears unlikely with Lazio confident of extending the Serbia international's stay at Stadio Olimpico.

Club officials feel that the 26-year-old is happy with life in Italy and will be open to signing a new deal which will last until 2025.

The report adds that Lazio will not contemplate a sale for anything less than £67m during the summer transfer window.
