Liverpool to bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson?

Liverpool could be ready to launch a bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to reports.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers could launch a bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Rodgers has long been an admirer of the Icelandic international, having previously managed the midfielder while he was on loan at Swansea City.

According to the SportsDirect News, Anfield sources said that the Reds are now ready to make a formal offer for Sigurdsson, who joined Spurs from Hoffenheim for £8.8m last year.

Sigurdsson was on form last weekend as he scored twice to give Spurs a 2-0 victory over Norwich City in the Premier League.
