Liverpool 'still fighting for Alexis Sanchez deal'

Liverpool have not given up their pursuit of Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

Liverpool are not giving up hope of signing Barcelona striker Alexis Sanchez, despite reports suggesting that the Chile international is not keen on a move to Merseyside.

According to the Daily Star, the Reds will continue to persuade the player's representatives to agree a deal and the Catalan giants are willing to let him go for £34m.

However, the club may give up their pursuit of the Chilean if there is no movement by the end of the week and will accept a straight cash deal for Luis Suarez, who is rumoured to be close to completing his move to the Camp Nou.

Sanchez is said to prefer a move to Arsenal this summer if he is forced to leave the Spanish club.
