Liverpool are reportedly considering a £10m approach for Gent winger Moses Simon this summer.
The Reds are understood to have been tracking the 22-year-old for a number of months, sending scouts to watch him in Belgium on a regular basis.
A number of other Premier League clubs are thought to be monitoring Simon's progress, and the Liverpool Echo reports that Jurgen Klopp's side are ready to make their interest official.
The Nigeria international has one year remaining on his current contract with Gent, who are expected to command a fee of £10m for the attacker.
Klopp is understood to see Simon as a potential understudy to Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah as Liverpool aim to bolster their strength in depth ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
Simon scored six goals and created three more for Gent last season, but missed out on a place in Nigeria's World Cup squad due to a hip injury.
