Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from his cash-strapped current employers, who are said to have put a £40m price tag on his services.
Over a number of weeks, Tottenham Hotspur are said to have been negotiating with Villa to agree a cut-price fee of around £20m for Grealish, but according to The Sun, Villa are not willing to lower their price.
The newspaper adds that Liverpool could now swoop in, with Grealish potentially tempted by working under Jurgen Klopp in Merseyside.
Grealish has also been linked with a move to Leicester City and Everton.
