Timo Werner has been linked with a move to Liverpool and Bayern Munich, but RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff is not concerned about losing the German striker.

RB Leipzig chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff has said that he is "deeply relaxed" about the German club's chances of keeping hold of striker Timo Werner.

The 24-year-old has been tipped to leave Red Bull Arena at the end of the season, despite still having three years to run on his existing contract.

Liverpool are the side rumoured to be at the front of the queue for Werner, while Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also in the running for his signature.

However, Mintzlaff is not concerned about losing the Germany international when the transfer window opens for business.

"I'm deeply relaxed about Werner," he told Sky Germany.

"He hasn't signalled yet that he wants to leave at the end of the season and he doesn't have to. He has a contract until 2023."

Werner has played a direct part in 28 goals for Leipzig in 25 league appearances this season.
