Report: Real Madrid's Asier Illarramendi to rejoin Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad are on the verge of bringing Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi back to the Anoeta Stadium, according to reports.

Real Sociedad have agreed a deal to bring Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi back to the Anoeta Stadium, according to reports.

The 25-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool, was not included in Rafael Benitez's squad for their goalless draw against Sporting Gijon on the opening La Liga weekend.

According to Spanish publication AS, David Moyes has succeeded in his efforts to lure Illarramendi back to the Basque Country with an £11m deal.

The former Spain youth international left Sociedad in 2013 for £23.5m.
