Emile Heskey has revealed that he hopes to find a new club by the end of this week.
The 34-year-old has been without a club since he was released by Aston Villa at the end of last season, but after turning down offers earlier in the summer, Heskey has said that he hopes to find a new club in the next few days.
Heskey told Press Association Sport: "I feel as fit and hungry as I have done in a long time and have been training everyday throughout the summer.
"I did receive a number of offers during the transfer window but didn't feel like any of them were the right opportunity for me at that time.
"I'm now looking forward to hopefully securing a new club over the coming days."
The former England striker has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Stoke City, Norwich City and Espanyol.
