Glen Johnson expects to leave Liverpool

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson admits that he is expecting to leave Anfield when his current deal expires in the summer.

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has admitted that he does not expect to stay at the club when his deal expires this summer.

The 30-year-old has struggled to maintain his first-choice spot in Brendan Rodgers's side this season and has been linked with a switch to Barcelona.

When asked whether he was resigned to leaving Anfield, Johnson told Sky Sports News: "I would have thought so - I haven't got a contract.

"We'll have to wait and see. I don't think so but we have to wait and see."

Johnson, who has 54 England caps, joined Liverpool from Portsmouth in 2009.
