Steven Gerrard on verge of Los Angeles Galaxy deal?

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is reportedly close to penning an 18-month contract with LA Galaxy.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is reportedly on the verge of signing an 18-month deal with Los Angeles Galaxy.

The 34-year-old midfielder confirmed last week that he would be leaving the Reds at the end of the season.

Gerrard joined Liverpool's academy back in 1987 before breaking into the first team 11 years later. The former England international has gone on to win 10 major honours with the club.

After previously suggesting that he could move to the MLS, Gerrard is now expected to pen a contract with LA Galaxy, according to BBC Sport.

Gerrard has scored nine goals in 27 games for Liverpool so far this season.
