Alexis Mac Allister is reportedly 'very keen' on making the move from Brighton & Hove Albion to Liverpool this summer, with discussions ongoing over a potential deal.

Alexis Mac Allister is reportedly prepared to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer to join Liverpool, with the player 'very keen' on a potential switch to Anfield.

The World Cup winner has caught the eye for both Argentina and the Seagulls this season, with Roberto De Zerbi's men chasing down a place in European football in the Premier League.

Having registered nine goals and one assist in 29 league appearances for the South Coast club, it appears the 24-year-old could be earning a significant move to a top European club this summer.

According to Football Insider, Mac Allister is 'very keen' on joining Liverpool in the upcoming transfer window, with discussions ongoing between the player's representatives and the Merseyside club.

The report adds that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp believes the midfielder is an "amazing" player - one who Liverpool want to get a deal for sorted before the squad return for pre-season.

Mac Allister and his Brighton teammates will host relegation-threatened Everton at the Amex Stadium on Monday evening - De Zerbi's side will be aiming to make it three home wins on the bounce without conceding.
