Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Since this article was published, this match has been postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has some big calls to make for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

The Reds were ripped to shreds by Napoli 4-1 in Wednesday's Champions League opener, where Thiago Alcantara made a welcome return from injury in the second half.

Ibrahima Konate, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson, Curtis Jones and Calvin Ramsay are all sidelined for the Reds, who still have doubts over Caoimhin Kelleher and Fabio Carvalho.

Ramsay's layoff means that Trent Alexander-Arnold's spot at right-back should be safe despite his below-par defensive showing in midweek, but Kostas Tsimikas could come in to give Andy Robertson a break.

Joe Gomez cannot consign Wednesday's performance to history quickly enough, and he is sure to make way for the returning Joel Matip alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool fans made their feelings known when James Milner was named in the first XI on Wednesday, and their concerns were warranted when the 36-year-old gave away a fifth-minute penalty.

Thiago should now be fit enough to take Milner's place in the engine room, but Klopp seems reluctant to throw Arthur into action straight away, so Harvey Elliott may hold his spot alongside Fabinho.

Up top, Luis Diaz is the only attacker who can feel confident about keeping his place, with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota ready to displace Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Elliott, Fabinho, Thiago; Jota, Nunez, Diaz
