Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he honed his game by watching the stars of La Liga when he was growing up.
The Reds forward claimed that he used to watch the likes of Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane and Rivaldo and learn from the way they played the game.
He told FourFourTwo: "When I was 13 I didn't want to go out with my mates - I'd stay in and watch La Liga instead.
"Seeing Zidane, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo producing their magic week in, week out was a real buzz.
"I've always studied the best Brazilians. I used to watch videos of Pele and loved seeing Rivaldo at Barcelona. I'm left-footed like he is, so I always tried to pick up bits from his game."
Sturridge has scored 22 goals in 30 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Chelsea last year.
