Daniel Sturridge apologises for his reaction to being substituted as Liverpool beat Everton 4-0.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has apologised for his reaction to being substituted in their 4-0 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby.

Sturridge was unhappy with being swapped for Victor Moses after missing a penalty to mark his hat-trick having earlier netted two first-half goals, and the England international was apologetic after the game.

Speaking to BT Sport, Sturridge said: "I want to apologise if anyone was offended, I let myself down, and the fans. I was very disappointed and it was nothing to do with the manager or anything like that.

"It's not about myself, it's about the boys and the great victory. Everyone's delighted."

The Reds are currently fourth in the Premier League.
