Jerome Sinclair becomes the youngest player in Liverpool history after coming on as a sub against West Brom aged just 16 years and six days.

Jerome Sinclair has become the youngest player to ever play for Liverpool during their League Cup match tonight.

Sinclair came on as a sub in Liverpool's 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion tonight just six days after celebrating his 16th birthday.

The youngster's age easily beats the previous record, set by Jack Robinson against Hull City in 2010 when he was aged 16 years and 250 days.

Sinclair becomes the second player in Liverpool's top three youngest ever to have made their debuts this year after Raheem Sterling's appearance against Wigan Athletic in March.

Other notable names in the top 10 include the likes of Michael Owen and the club's record appearance maker Ian Callaghan.
