Brendan Rodgers accepts Liverpool fans' frustrations following Anfield boos

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he accepts that fans are frustrated after supporters booed following the side's 1-1 draw with Sion in the Europa League.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has accepted that the supporters are frustrated after boos rang around Anfield following Thursday night's disappointing Europa League performance.

Members of the home crowd aired their discontent on the final whistle of Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Sion.

The Merseyside outfit have struggled for consistency in the Premier League having won three games, drawn two and lost two so far this season.

"The supporters watched the game [against Sion] and will be disappointed we didn't take the chances," Rodgers told reporters in this morning's press conference. "They want to win as much as we want to win.

"There's frustration there, but we have to take that on the chin. When you lose games at a club like this, the investigation is very deep and the analysis is huge, but that's part of it.

"I always work with the best of the players and the situation I am in. I don't seek reassurances. I love the club, I enjoy being here and the challenge of improving and developing. It's a long season, and it's still very early. We still have some outstanding players to come back in. Once we have them, we'll be in a position to challenge."

Liverpool will take on local rivals Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
