Kevin Mirallas has claimed that Everton are long overdue a win in the Merseyside derby, ahead of Sunday's clash against Liverpool at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have lost their previous three encounters against their local rivals and recorded their last win in the fixture over two years ago.
"It's high time we won this one again," Mirallas told The Telegraph. "We want to keep our place in the top four, and give the fans something to be really happy about, especially because we lost it last year.
"I know there was a lot of disappointment amongst the players last season, especially being so close to the FA Cup final. We don't want a repeat of that."
Mirallas will be experiencing his first Merseyside derby this weekend following a summer move from Greek side Olympiakos.
